Eat everything in moderation. Everything is bad for you if done to excess. This includes things like exercise, carrots and drinking water.

I think a lot of it is to do with natural scents against over processed "man made" scents. concentrating anything is likely to result in a more intense reaction to it whether positively or negatively.
