I use Star San mixed 7.5ml in a 5 litre bottle of Tesco Ashbeck Mineral water and a bottle rinser with a bottling tree. Takes around 10/15 minutes to do 40 bottles as its all no rinse.
I would of worded it slightly differently but what you are saying is basically correct, these people want Bergland to give them exclusive rights so they can make a tidy profit. Shame, but very true.
Well..... my 2 x 50 litre pots from Bergland cost me £83.00 delivered to my door, if I had to buy them from Angelhomebrew the same thing would have cost me £120.90.........thats some difference for the same product and service. !!!!!!!!
I pay the extra £5 and use 25litres Tesco Ashbeck Water. I live in a Thames water area and the water is quite hard so to me its worth it for a better pint :D .
I clean in HOT Oxi-Clean from the 99p shop, 1 scoop in a Corny then fill with HOT water, leave for 2 hrs then rinse well and I steralise with Star San from a spray ....30 seconds wet contact is enough, no rinse.
I use a pumpup garden sprayer with a lance for my Cornies and FV,s ....cheap one from Lidl......and a hand spray bottle for Mash paddle, bubblers, bungs, lids etc.
Just incase you go down the route of buying a keg and converting it, you may find this of interest. :thumb: --->> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5Ry2lBCjfk
Thats the same as the one I have feeding my kegerator, I dont seem to have a problem setting it to 5psi for serving although to be honest I would prefer the 3 secondary gauges to have had smaller increments.
