    Shipping costs that make sense!

Hi mate think this is due to a large letter slightly more expensive than originally mentioned above and 2.20 is the large letter price with packaging included

    Kveik

I hope the beer comes out well! We sell Espe and a range of other farmhouse variants. We're finding a lack of information online about strains which aren't Voss so we're doing our own experimentation and usage hoping to get some information out there on these lesser known strains. Sure, it means...

    Kveik

Interestingly, kveik prefers higher gravity beers, it won't have trouble fermenting 8-10% ABV. That Lallemand Voss does produce a lot of orange in my experience. You can ferment cooler, but it might take a bit longer to ferment. I reckon 25°C would be a good trade off between time and subduing...

    Christmas Brew

Something I'm thinking about this year is a christmas beer which will pair well with a xmas lunch. Something like turkey will go well with a saison or a strong Belgian golden ale. Maybe a brown ale would be nice with some of the trimmings and gravy, and of course a porter for dessert!

    IBU correction

I would go with option A. I often don't take notice of the variety of bittering hop, but of course take notice of the IBU. This is of course if you want to make a clone of the beer. If you wanted to put your own mark on the beer then option B would be best. I'm not too into overly bitter beers...

Fermenting fruits with lager yeast ?

One issue with using beer yeast to ferment fruits is the lack of nutrients required for a healthy fermentation. In my experience, using beer yeast in cider, turbo cider and fruit wines without nutrient leads to very long fermentations. Not necessarily an issue as it's never created off flavours...

    Pears

I love perry so I'd say make some! How were you pressing them? I have an electric mill and this year I think I'm gonna buy a rack and cloth press, but I make a lot of cider and grow trees. What I used to do was have a builder's trug, place the apples in there and smash them up with a large...
