    Steve Smith.

Agreed, however he was roundly applauded as he left the field by all as far as I could see on the 'telly. As to tests at Old Trafford in September - you were lucky, we have the last 2 home county (4 day) matches = back to back, starting Tuesday next week. It's going to be cold and wet on the...

    Why can your homebrewed beer?

Home brewing is an evolving hobby, and has been so for the past 50 odd years. Remember when cutting edge was a large crock pot with a 50W immersion heater in it to keep mash temp. stable - from that to the likes of Grainfather etc. From an old large bucket to shiny SS fermenters, Corny kegs &...

    Steve Smith.

Yes the booing should stop, the problem is that a lot of the 'fans' at test matches only go to tests and not county matches, it's the same with T20 games, OK it brings folk into cricket, and makes good money for the clubs. But most people they do not attend county matches, and that's the pity...

    first time brewing Saison question

Are you sure it is mold or rather dried up yeast on top of the beer, My last brew used MJ saison yeast and it got down to 1.003 within 2 weeks so the beer should be finished. Have you taken a gravity reading? Could you rack the beer to a secondary fermenter perhaps. Have you tasted the beer?

I have 4 beers I now brew in rotation, a bitter a saison a white beer ( German or Belgian depending on mood) and a hoppy USA IPA. I do meddle around with the grain bills, hops & yeasts from time to time :cheers3:
