    New crossmyloof 'Haze' yeast.

I've brewed a couple of hoppy beers using the HAZE yeast, when bottling the beer has been lovely and hazy but i'll admit that it does clear after a while which is a bit of a shame really. Both beers have been very tasty though and I do find that if I pour in the whole bottle, sediment and all...

    Citra Pale Ale

For me 0 minutes means turn off the heat and cool to less than 80c (higher than that will give you added bitterness), chuck the hops in and leave for about 30 minutes. After that cool down to about 21c, strain out the hop debris and add to your fermenter and you're ready to add your yeast.

    1st timer to brewing

MJ yeast is Mangrove Jacks yeast, the one that came with your kit, more than likely M44 yeast. Usually takes 24-48 hours to get going but once it starts you'll certainly know it.

    Swapping yeast............

I'm making the Mangrove Jacks Juicy IPA on Wednesday but i've heard that the yeast supplied, M44, isn't everybody's favourite one so i'm contemplating swapping it for either US05, Crossmyloof 'Haze' or Lallemand New England Ale Yeast. Any thoughts which way I should go would be...

    Did these today...

I assume you've used M44 yeast in the Mangrove Jacks Pink Grapefruit IPA, this yeast is always slow to get going, give it another day or two and hopefully you'll see the all important air bubbles athumb..

    New crossmyloof 'Haze' yeast.

Back to the 'haze' yeast...............when using this one do you still cold crash or not bother because you obviously want the haze effect in the bottle ??
