    Grain prices creeping up.

Pops are a Maltster they are 28.50 (+ VAT) Crisp MO ale is £26 (+ VAT) from Crisp. I would suggest that old stock, after all we're only a few weeks after turn of year when I think that the rises went on, may be the reason. I don't know what price BrewUK were selling it, have they raised their...

    Grain prices creeping up.

I think that the problem is that there has been a rise in prices from the maltster, the wholesale price was held down and has just taken a big jump, (positively speaking last year I saved half the increase). There have been massive increases across all the areas that maltsters need...

    Grain prices creeping up.

Beer is deemed food, therefore no VAT, homebrewing is deemed leisure, so VAT.

    Grain prices creeping up.

I think that you probably paid wholesale price + vat from the brewery, TMM charging 37 + vat doesn't seem that unusual, 30% over wholesale for a one stop supplier isn't unreasonable. I might suggest sub prices are pre price rise stock?

    Campaigner Indigo Rumbelow,

I think one of the reasons that the M25 protests are being done is that the government haven't moved as fast as they can, are still negotiating licences with oil and gas companies. The media know what the problems are, they have interviewed enough, but are still not putting pressure on the...

    Campaigner Indigo Rumbelow,

Climate change is a term today used lazily that should be climate change caused by human action. Yes there always has been climate change but the effect of human intervention means that the change is greater than would normally be expected. However if it is, (and rightly or wrongly, it is,)...

    Campaigner Indigo Rumbelow,

    1. The 'climate crisis' look at the science 2. 'the masses .....giving up hard earned tax money' I am not sure where this comes from. If it read 'companies giving up billions of pounds/dollars of profit it would make more sense. 3. 'all these climate action groups are funded....' tried to find...

    Campaigner Indigo Rumbelow,

I must admit that I am not sure why this is supposed to be by someone in the know, just watched 10 minutes of it and these seem to be just spouting what they had read on daily mail online, though in posh voices and with corrected grammar. And Sunak not supposed to be giving trillion in reparation

How would you fix the economy.

    1. Thats not true, they were told that Single Market would not be affected, which had attendant points

I'm going to try re-using my yeast

Keep it simple, siphon off your beer for bottling or secondary and then just put about a third of the remains of a fermentation into clean vessel and pour the wort straight on. No lag time, and I always do it for a really strong beer.

    Gushing!

The points I would raise are a) taking beer out to dissolve the sugar in a saucepan and only heating to dissolve. I put the sugar in the bottling bucket then pour boiling water from the kettle to dissolve. And b) to me they look quite high sugar amounts?

    Another Strike.

So someone one joins a strategic sector in 2022 and is paid £10 ph they can't complain in 2030 that the pay is only £10 ph?

    Fracking U turn

FiT ( or Smart Export Guarantee I think) is minimal in UK now, EDF 1.5p/kWh, the big returns are only in the early contracts. Onshore wind should be looked at, but the tories don't want it as it doesn't pay the oil company.

    Fracking U turn

More importantly fracking produces a gas that is not good for the climate. Much cheaper, safer and easier to use renewables.
