Ah well done! That was it, Winter Royal!

About 40+ Years ago, Whitbread/Wethered produced a beer at the appropriate time of year, which was called “Winter Warmer”. They did it for a few years and then it ceased. I know nothing about it other than that it was really lovely. Ring any bells anywhere?

I was following a Graham Wheeler recipe that called for 25g of chocolate malt and I mistakenly stuck a zero on the end of it. It was so good I made it twice.

I’ll bet that’s something we’ve all done at some time. As has been said, just give it extra time. Patience is a virtue etc.

Doctors orders, no beer. Some may turn up their noses at alcohol free beer, but it’s come a very long way since Kaliber, and I’d drink this in preference to a lot of commercial lagers.

As StJayJay said, pressure barrels are marmite (good analogy) and I’ve been using them for years. I’ve been off the beer for health reasons for the last year and haven’t made any beer for that time. I have a pressure barrel containing stout and another with pale ale that I made about a year ago...

I think you’re right. Whichever side of the fence you sit this is arguably the most divisive issue since the civil war albeit without such tragic consequences. It’s certainly damaged many friendships and family relationships.
