    Sewage

Being a ‘democracy’ doesnt mean that if a result occurs in an election or referendum, which you disagree with, that you have to sit in the corner and be quiet. You’re entitled to complain about it and try to get it democratically overturned. So you deal with that. We’ve had 40+ years of people...

    Electric trucks.

    I did, that’s encouraging.

    Electric trucks.

They could always try something revolutionary and invest more on the railways. Up until about 50 years ago, most freight was shifted by rail and had been for over a hundred years. It wouldn’t be cheap or quick because most of the infrastructure has gone but once it was in place again it would be...

Ban on new petrol and diesel cars in UK from 2030 under PM's green plan

Oh you poor victim! I don’t know how old you are, but I think that free speech and diversity of opinion are are tolerated far more now than they were when I was younger, I’m 67. But if you are going to espouse views that are at odds with the majority then you have to expect a certain degree of...

    Panic Buying

Well if they can only afford to put a few pounds in every month, then they are obviously not driving much anyway.

    Panic Buying

I I think that a better policy would be to charge, for example, a £40 minimum sale. That would go some way towards deterring those who drive around just putting in a few quids worth and would also make it easier for those with a genuine need.

    Lager, NOT larger!

Oooh, that was a mean one!

    Lager, NOT larger!

What about the difference between ‘their’ ‘there’ and ‘they’re’? It’s not neurosurgery but so many people struggle with it,

    Angela Rayner on the Tories

I think you’ve got a point. I’m not a Labour member, but reading and listening to what some members have said, it does seem as if they’re more interested in an ideologically pure debating society than actually doing something constructive towards getting rid of this party of, well, dare I say...

    Panic Buying

Well I’m panicking, but not buying. I’m on the Isle of Wight in my camper van, which is running on fumes. Not due back on the mainland til Friday, I’m just hoping that the Morrison’s down the road will have some weasel because I haven’t got enough to drive around looking for it. On another note...

    No covid ***

Well I think that it’s high time we all stopped taking the p!$$ and showed a bit more tolerance, sympathy and understanding towards anti vaxers. I mean, worst bloody vacuum cleaner I ever had.

Do you scrape off the pre-boil foam?

You keep whacking it with a paddle, but what do you do with the wort?
  17. TonyT

Do you scrape off the pre-boil foam?

I use a small nylon sieve.

Do you scrape off the pre-boil foam?

I do, just to minimise the amount of trub.

So I bought this Graham Wheeler book everybody bangs on about...

A lot of folk saying that S-04 is rubbish, but not why. I’m genuinely interested in the ‘why’ because I’ve used it a lot in bitters and don’t have a problem with it.
