    Filtration of Beer/Cider

Oh yeah? Over here in NI it is always packed out on the shelves so I've been considering it for a hit Done their strawberry and lime cider and although it was fairly hit and miss due to my poor bottle priming, the ones that were properly carbed were lovely. Hoping the wine is just as good...

    Filtration of Beer/Cider

Just for clarification This is the current state of the lager after pressure fermenting for 7 days at 15psi set at 22°C. Temp Controller hysterisis is tight with no more than +/-0.2°C variation from my set points. This is after 2 days of cold crashing down to 2.5°C. Currently have the keg on...

    Filtration of Beer/Cider

Ooo noted thank you. I'll be looking at some wine kits next. I'm also a wine lover Might start with one of the ones from the range at 20ish quid. Done a beaverdale 6 bottle cab sav and it was delightful

    Filtration of Beer/Cider

I don't believe I have any vegan or veggie friends so that would certainly be a good call Have you had a go at doing it with kegs before?

    Filtration of Beer/Cider

I appreciate the curiosity, happy to oblige in explaining This is gonna be a somewhat long response so buckle in: Firstly, I've already bought the filter so feel that it'd be a shame to just have it sat there unused and as a virgin filter. May as well get my moneys worth and in the process...

    Filtration of Beer/Cider

Hello all, quick disclaimer: I appreciate that there may be some responses telling me I don't need to filter and I know I don't... I just want to. I have purchased the Kegland 1Micron Filter and am going to use it. It's not that there is anything wrong with the standard way of not filtering...

    No Chill Cubes

I'd say no The pump would pull that volume through and the variability on the pump flow would allow for all wort to be in constant recirc imo That's how I'm seeing it in my head anyway

Make co2 with a shark tank.

Once the yeast is in there and fermentation has started, you should really just need to feed it with the simple syrup solution? No? As Mash has said, Bread yeast and Sugar Couple of pound for them in the shop Both fairly cheap and accessible At first glance this gives the impression of being...

    No Chill Cubes

I don't no, haven't really got that far as of yet in the hobby All recipes I use just come straight from the preassembled grain kits from GEB Water is just the bottles of mineral water from Tesco as I would like to start doing water chemistry but only after I have used my equipment enough to...

Make co2 with a shark tank.

Don't thank me, thank the Brulosophy YouTube channel! Using precious fresh CO2 just to transfer always seemed wasteful from I started doing minimal/O2 free especially since my current setup is using Sodastream which is just  expensive. Seen the idea in one of their videos and always wanted to...

    No Chill Cubes

Ooooh okay I had assumed you had a recirculating system and was wondering about it. Yeah I just had a bad time with it this time round I guess, no biggie🤷‍♂️ Lager is currently cold crashing at 5 degrees headed down to 0-2°C to come out of the fermenter and go into a keg to lager out for 4-6...

Does your kettle have any form of recirculation on it?

I'm unsure I follow what you mean... how does this help with the mash sticking if you don't mind explaining, please?

    No Chill Cubes

Full volume mash... interesting Never had crossed my mind to do this Then again I am fairly new to the hobby so still a lot to learn and to develop on my own routine

Brewzilla 3.1.1 35L First it's happened Wasn't actually the worst in the world My recipe estimated a SG of 1.041 based on 85% efficiency at 20° When I checked mine and corrected for temp mine was 1.047 so definitely helped🤷‍♂️

Cooling options / advice when using a Steam condensor

Hm... this setup out my tiny velux would have been significantly cheaper and less messy than my steam condenser...😅

Cooling options / advice when using a Steam condensor

https://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk/threads/no-chill-cubes.105934/#post-1298044 This forum post of mine looks at no chill I got the steam condenser as the steam generated is what has left me in the doghouse with my house mates lol I've been banished to a top room in the house with a tiny velux...

    No Chill Cubes

My mash kept sticking too and with a 90 min mash time, I basically just spent the entirety of it stirring mash. I was sore the following day lol It did make me think about adding a bag into my kettle before my malt pipe to act as an extra bit of filtering as my pump nearly got blocked with...

    No Chill Cubes

Sorry all been helping a friend move, been a hectic few days To answer your question gav ⬇️ Like this Yeah... lol pretty much this too It was messy and incredibly inconvenient. Had two buckets set up and two jerry cans of fresh water for the space I have, wildly inefficient to try to bounce...
