    Lost Breweries

In previous lives I have had pubs which in Nottingham was Shipstones and in Lincolnshire sold Wards & Vaux ales. Nottingham it was in the late 60's into the 70's and Lincolnshire is was mid 80's into mid 90's. Tough times in the pub trade what with drink driving and the Police getting really...

Juicy Session IPA - Mangrove Jack's review

I bottled mine this Tuesday, carbing up really well at the moment in the heat but clearing seems slow! I will give it the two weeks in the heat and then move into a cooler area.

Using beer gas with a corny keg.

When I had a pub back in the early 90's the 11gallon Guinness kegs came with there own built in gas supply, this supply controlled the flow at the tap as well. In fact at that time if you didn't keep the Guinness in great order and the pouring flow rate correct they would stop supplying you. The...

    Connecting sodastream to regulator.

Yes it worked after a bit of adjustment and some loss of CO2, as you had witnessed but got there in the end, Many thanks

    mini kegs

With the Spear there is a CO2 release valve so you can reduce the CO2 to a level that suits your different beers. I start by setting mine at around 5psi just for serving

    Connecting sodastream to regulator.

Can you explain that in a bit more detail as I had the same problem as you and gave up trying to sort it. As I screwed in the Soda Stream bottle it just continually let the CO2 out of the bottle?

    mini kegs

It depends on what type of CO2 you use. I use a mixture on the 14g screw type mini CO2 Gas Bulbs or my Soda Stream bottle with an adapter on to screw to the Reg, the Bulbs do work our quite expensive but handy when taking your kegs somewhere else!

    mini kegs

I purchased my 3 x 5ltr mini kegs from an online shop with 4 letters ending in Bay. Also 3 x spears with Corny keg type connectors, 3 x taps and 3 mini CO2 regs. The kegs were less than £35.00 each the Spears around £19.00 each, the party type taps around £8.00 each and the mini regs around...

    Bull Dog Kits

I must admit I found it quite heavy going after the first 10 bottles. I won’t brew it again

    Stainless Steel kegs

Because I have three kegs so can have three different brews on the go plus still pour from bottles if I want, flexibility and no real work at all especially at the moment what else is there to do?
