What are you drinking tonight 2021?

I think I'll crack open a Young's American IPA tonight that has been conditioning for about 3 weeks. It will still be a bit green, but I haven't have one of them for ages and temptation is getting the better of me.

    Tips for force carbing corny

I've recently bought one of those for my set-up. I was waiting on the preorder for my corny kit from BKT and bottled a brew about 2 days before it was dispatched so still have no beer in it yet. I have force carbed tap water with the docking method and it works very well. Anyhow, we drink a...

    Cctv cameras..

I bought some cheapo ieGeek WiFi cameras off Amazon about 2 years ago and they have been pretty good to be honest. I've got them hooked up to a separate WiFi router so hopefully no back door internet hacking and snooping by our overseas friends that make them. You can watch them live on an app...

    Brew stand

It's a bit of a faff shifting the FV when it is bottling time, weight more than anything plus you need to be careful for it not to slosh around. I usually plan ahead a few days and carefully move it ready for bottling day and stick it on a stand that I made that props the one end up to tilt it...

The worst thing about corny kegs....

I get the feeling I am on the slippery slope too. I'm already scouring Facebook and eBay for something suitable or a Keezer, plus I'm thinking I'll need another keg now even though I am about 3 or 4 weeks away from putting beer in the one I have just got.

The worst thing about corny kegs....

Thinking about it, would it be worse to have a full keg but an empty gas bottle?

    Old but new

Welcome. Young's American IPA is a great kit so no turning back now!

The worst thing about corny kegs....

I'm a corny newbie and was thinking about this the other day. Logic tells me that I should perhaps have a piece of paper next to my keg to cross off pints as I work my way through, but I know that isn't going to be used after 2 or 3 pints in on an evening.

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

A couple of MJ pink grapefruit IPAs whilst I figured out my new corny keg setup from BKT. I've got no beer to put in it at the moment, so I made a load of fizzy water instead:laugh8:

    Wishful thinking!

They are like the Miss World hopefuls compared to the landlady in my local.

    What's ya cost saver?

My cost saver is thin cheapo bleach which I dilute and use to sanitise all of my stuff.

    First beer brew !

I'm not sure if you did but I tilt my FB by propping it up on a block of wood on the one side a day or two before bottling to give the sediment time to gather at the one end before I syphon it. That way you get the most amount out of your brew. I'd expect to lose about 1L out of a brew just...

    Excellent service from Brewkegtap!

Same here. My corny key starter kit turned up last week. I spoke to Jonny about 3 or 4 weeks ago and he explained stuff to me and gave some advice, and said the website would be updated with a pre-order option as they were out of regulators which were on their way from Italy. Order done and a...

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

I've got a few lucky dips tonight. Due to a lack of labelling of 3 crates and I have forgotten what's what after moving them, I am going to need to drink a few to figure this out.

    Ebay suxx

I gave up selling on eBay a year or two ago for the same reasons. Buyer protection top trumps seller protection and the reason they do it is to try and keep up with the likes of Amazon and their promise of getting what you pay for guarantee. I sold some kids shoes on there, honestly listed as...

Standard sugar is what most use. Depending on beer style half to a full teaspoon per bottle.
