    James Morton - Brew

If you are happy with the beers you are producing it is not vitally important. Have a read of this excellent thread by Strange Steve, it's where quite a few of us started :) https://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk/threads/beginners-guide-to-water-treatment.64822/

    Flat beer

I have never used a pressure barrel, but could the issue be having 20L of headspace? That seems like an awful lot. As headspace increases you require more priming sugar?

2018 Beer World Cup - Second Round Match 8

I agree. I love many Belgian beers, but Duvel is not one of my favourites. If I was trying to introduce a foreigner to English styles, TT would be a solid choice.

Hmm. I like Chimay Blue and drink it often. I think I would really like the Rochefort 10, but have never tried it. How to vote....?

Beer of the Month (December 2018)

Nevermind Honk, trying it and disliking it is just as valid as trying it and loving it. This thread is all about sharing a cabin on this intrepid voyage of beer discovery! I have purchased a bottle from The House of Trembling Madness in York but haven't cracked it open yet .

Beer of the Month (December 2018)

I'm all up for hearing ideas. There are 36 beers in the world cup thread, so I just chose the first one out of there. One thing I did think, was that the commercial beers could align style wise with the monthly competition? If nobody has any strong feelings, I'll keep working through the world...
