    Festival Razorback v Youngs AIPA

New world saison - reeem lol A real favourite of mine too and several of my friends. It must be an acquired taste tho as my LHBS tells me it's one of there worst selling kits!!

    Young's American Mocha Porter

Sorry, temperature. Brew short refers to the volume of your brew, so if it's a 40 pint kit and you want it a little stronger and more body you make it to say 36 pints, 4 pints short, brewed short. I won't ask! but I'm guessing you've brewed short and this is the reason why your at 1016, it's...

    Young's American Mocha Porter

What temp you fermenting at? Did you brew short? First idea would be give it a stir and warm it up a bit.

    Newbie Pressure Barrel troubleshooting

The rubber "o" ring makes the air tight seal not the threads. Try putting a cap on your empty PB a small squirt of gas and it will give you an idea how tight or not the cap needs to be, you might be surprised. Godsdog may be right but I'd advise caution sanding your barrel, I thought this was a...

    Festival Razorback v Youngs AIPA

IMHO Golden stag is a better pint than Razorback. Not tried AIPA the APA was smooth though.

    Hhmmmmm

    Question about kegging

Could it be "over pressurised" because your giving it a squirt of Co2 before it's had secondary ferment??

    Disaster!

Unfortunately your last sentence is all too true. 40+ kits with hydros thrown in after running under hot tap, numerous lid lifts, "dirty" tin opener, and even a paddle used totally unsterilised..... 40+ brews enjoyed. Equally as important, a hobby enjoyed!!

Picked up a bargain but ...

You make a good point Chippy, now do I duplicate your research or carry on regardless........ ?? Dayuum internet!!! Still it comes in handy for sourcing cheap swing tops:lol:

    Disaster!

Il drink to that Joe!! IMO there are too many people with the idea we are transplanting organs or launching missions to Mars, which is spoiling new brewers enjoyment through stressing over non existant/minor problems. Btw your BKE enhancer would have been fine, first time I used it I made a...

I'm with you Chippy but on the other hand surely food grade plastic is safe? Maybe? Don't mean to open a can of worms/hijack thread

    Question about kegging

Nah, leave her be until it starts to slow down coming out the tap, usually half way ish although Iv had a full barrel without adding Co2. It's mainly to stop O2 glugging in as the pressure drops inside. Class dismissed

    Pouring beer down the drain

    Il have it!!!! :drunk::drink::drunk:

Picked up a bargain but ...

+1 And I'm remembering the time I was rushing (not something that goes well with brewing) and tried to dry them with swmbo hair dryer, gentle wafts I swear. Half of them ended up looking like St Mary's in Chesterfield :electric:

Picked up a bargain but ...

I'd second VWP, it's what I use just make sure you rinse well. I'd be dubious about putting boiling water in PET bottles. Rob.

Youngs premium cider - Strawberry and Lime

Done the Peach and Passionfruit and Rasberry and Mango, the most popular. Don't expect brain, spew or krausen! I did and there's none lol don't leave it on the yeast to long either, you can get a tasty brew with an eggy first whiff. Rob.
