Festival Razorback v Youngs AIPA

I was all set to make a Youngs American IPA as my next kit but I tasted my mate's homebrew tonight - Festival Razorback IPA - and it was exceptional. Has anyone brewed/tasted both? Which do people think is better, and what, if any, are the differences?

I've not made the festival but have done the youngs AIPA and it is a mighty beer. Bottled my second batch last weekend and considering getting another going as I know it won't last long.

I will be following this thread with interest because if the festival is as good or even better that the youngs then it must be one he'll of a beer.

IMHO Golden stag is a better pint than Razorback. Not tried AIPA the APA was smooth though.

You're going to have to do both!
They're both 'go-to' kits at fourbob towers, to build stocks in between small batch a.g. experimentation; both provide very high quality hoppy pale ales.
Razorback in my opinion is pretty close to Thornbridge's Kipling, Mrs fourbob now prefers the razorback to the Thornbridge.... The youngs American IPA is probably even hoppier.

I did a couple of Razorback brews when I first started and enjoyed every pint but then I discovered the Young's kits and have done the AIPA many times (have one batch brewing and one ready to drink ), I haven't done another Razorback since.
As wheazy joe says the AIPA is a mighty beer ( def hoppier than Razorback )but probably my all time favourite is the Young's New World Saison, if I was down with the kids I'd describe it as epic!
Whichever you decide you'll end up with a fine pint

A real favourite of mine too and several of my friends. It must be an acquired taste tho as my LHBS tells me it's one of there worst selling kits!!
