    Retirement.

Hoping to retire at 60 if I pay of my mortgage - it looks likely. Very good public sector worker pension after more than 30 years service (hopefully) should sort me out. Probably will do some part time job, but with minimal responsibility. I'm a socialist, left wing or what ever you want to call...

    Kveik

About 2 weeks ago brew Sierra Nevada pale with lellemand kveik - started drinking and it is really nice and clean. Fermented at around 33 degrees - if finished in less than 3 days from 1.049 to 1.008. 24h after starting fermentation collected some yeast from krauzen - tried to do same 48h and...

    PH adjustment.

I really like Brewfather app for that, it can auto adjust to aim for water for particular style and tell you how much additive to add - like gypsum, epsom salts etc. I started using RO water recently and hoppy pale was brill.

    Commercial Corny cleaning.

If they use same for cask, it would be caustic soda and then rinse properly.

    Self isolating.

You were lucky mate - thing you could accidentally broke a leg or something similar long term sick, not from your fault and no sick pay - I would assume you have savings or other means to live just on a statutory sick pay? For some reason people believe, that majority of people that get a help...

    Self isolating.

@Alex.mc so true mate. People really panicking about it. But on self isolation, people on 0 hours contract probably will not, as it will cost them half month wages and most of people on such contracts cannot afford it. I'm really surprised we did not have more cases so far, but I think it...

    Corny keg won’t seal....

The issue I think, is that keg was sold not being fir for purpose and seller will not accept it. I've bough 2 kegs recently, 1 reconditioned - after seeing how wear out it is, I have bought a brand new one (for mere £20 more). Is it the usual risk with the cornies?

    going to keg

Second beer kegged, so much quicker than bottling, took maybe 15 minutes :D Hunting now for small chest freezer, as my fridge definitely will not take 2 kegs. Plenty on facebook market place.

    Robobrew pump blocked

I managed to unblock it, just with bit of a wire. There were some grains stuck there. But I think I will use rice hulks or similar next time. Mass was bit thick

    Robobrew pump blocked

My robobrew pump blocked today. I think it was a combination of to fine crushed grain - bought crashed - and added loose pellets hops. Hops first time without the spider. So far tried blowing, water from the hose and diamond with oxi. Will try again tomorrow. Will use muslim bag next time for...

    Decent Lager liquid yeast

This is just a small review for Imperial L17 Harvest liquid yeast. I brew Helles Lager, a clone of Augustiner Helles (will see later how well I managed to clone it). Did starter with 1,5L wort, pitched at 16C and fermented around 14C for 12 days - last 2 days was diacetyl rest rest at 19C...

    For me it's: 1. Good podcast, if I can't find any> 2. Radio, if boring > 3. Music
