Just looking to do some Lager in time for Wrestlemania. Was just on the Brew2Bottle site and the Brewmaker Kits came up.

How long would it take me to Brew to completion? Also it says I just need to add Sugar but if I used a Beer Kit enhancer would I have better results?

You're talking a month before you can drink it. With fair temperature control 10 days brewing then two in the bottle.

I'd recommend this malt extra bag and some table sugar rather than a brew enhancer.

You might not want to hear it but I'd also avoid a lager kit. They're crap.

There are some real bargains on the site, stuff like the Mangrove Jack's kits with a bad of brewing sugar or the Yorkshire Bitter kits for only £8.95. That plus a bag of malt extract would be a great start as it's not a very bitter kit.

I’ve done a few kits and I’m taking slow steps. So far they’ve come out ok I got the Geordie Lager Kit from Wilko’s and that came out banging. Just need to know how much time I have to prep and get it ready lol

Many folks on here don't like lager kits because the product often resembles the British lager stuff that comes out of shiny taps down the pub, which seems to be as equally unpopular.
And lager kits are not as good as they could be because you are typically often told to brew a one can with a bag of sugar more often than not with an ale yeast.
But they can't all be bad can they? From personal experience a 'pimped' Coopers Euro lager is OK brewed with the kit lager yeast but it takes 3 months to come good.
My suggestion, for what its worth, is to brew a 1.7kg min lager kit say Coopers Au lager, with 500g light DME , 500g dextrose and add a hop tea of 25g Hallertau or Saaz, and use a CML Kolsch yeast rather than the kit yeast.

I have done MJ Pils kit, it came with cali common yeast. It came out very good and lots of people really enjoyed it. I laggered it for 8 weeks. Alternative is some kind of Kolsch, is there a kit for it?

I did today a wilko cervesa pimped with 1k of light dme and 700g of GS og was 1045 I used the kit yeast and and a pack of gervin gv12, on day 12 I will boil the peel of a large grapefruit and 2 limes cool and add to fv also I will add 15g of crushed corriander seeds, never done this before so a total experiment for me, also may add a dry hop

I’ll put up another recommendation which i done many times with great succession when i did kits.
Coopers Mexican cerveza using coopers brew enhancer 2,and made to the instructions, This beer always come out clear after 2 weeks carbonating and was very very drinkable after 4 weeks.
I had tried various other “lager” kits which didn’t turn out anywhere near as good as the coopers kits.

The Coopers European Lager is one of the better basic kits but may take longer as I think it uses a proper Lager yeast
