    Speed Up Carbing?

I've read that giving the bottles a quick twist every day to keep the sugar, sweeter beer, from settling to the bottom of the bottle helps. Really though, the beer needs that time to age in, mature. Big difference in how a bottled beer tastes after a week and four weeks.

    Bottling advice please

I've gone full circle back to adding a half teaspoon of granulated cane sugar to each twelve ounce bottle. Full teaspoon to a 22 ounce bomber. Works just fine. In the time it takes to measure out the sugar, attend to pan while it comes to a boil, and rack, I can have sugar in my bottles...

    Wilko Hoppy Bitter

If you're new to this you might just make the kit per the instructions then try to figure out which way you want to go for the next one.

    Out of Date Kits

I have used four year out of date dry yeast with no issues. Took off and fermented fine.

    Starting gravity WAY too low.

I just did a Coopers Real Ale kit. First kit I've done in over twenty years. I had to stir this thing quite a while to get a good mix. You're probably fine.

Is this going to be the end of the orange man?

Same with Crazy Uncle Joe. This lockdown has been a true gift to him and the democrats. If Joe had been out actually campaigning he'd be sticking his foot in his mouth at least once a day. As it is he's safely tucked away in his basement and he has an excuse, lockdown. Hillabeans being out...

Is this going to be the end of the orange man?

You're absolutely right. There were morals and ethics in news reporting. News outlets really served the people and did help hold politicians accountable. Now, you have a CNN reporter on television covering the "peaceful protests" in St. Louis while, in the background, the rioting mobs and...

Is this going to be the end of the orange man?

My wife read a book some years ago with an interesting turn on how politicians are placed in office. This was a work of fiction but, in a way it made some sense. On the premise that anyone that WANTS to be president, senator, whatever, is obviously insane for wanting to be, the society in this...

Is this going to be the end of the orange man?

This about sums up Joe's state of mind.

    How often do you brew?

10 to 12 liters once a month. Did a twenty liter Coopers Real Ale kit last month. I also did an 11 liter saison so I'm good until late September. Always try to make another batch when I'm down to five weeks worth ready to drink.

    Any Elderberry experts?

I made an elderberry mead and used dehydrated elderberries I bought from a seller I found on the the internet (Frontier?) They have great flavor. It was a full pound. I used four ounces in a gallon so I have a bunch left. There is some form of cyanide in elderberries. You're supposed to boil...

Is this going to be the end of the orange man?

Libs have spent four years trying to unseat Trump. They've worked harder at this than anything else since Trump got elected. They've wasted untold millions if not billions of taxpayer dollars fighting to get Trump removed from office. Hillary even had Nobama, the sitting president at the time...

Is this going to be the end of the orange man?

Back when John McCain ran against Nobama, libs were screaming , "Too old! Too white!" about John McCain. Now look at who they've got.

Is this going to be the end of the orange man?

I remember election night 2016. This talking head on the television going state by state about how Hillary just could not lose. Well, we know how that turned out. Polls are useless. Only election night counts. I think Don is going to get another term especially if the liberals actually run...

River Thames 'severely polluted with plastic'

I'm not a "greenie" by no means but, the amount of plastic used in the world is starting to bother me. This stuff isn't going away. It will be around for centuries in a lot of cases. People that go to these weekend music festivals but these cheap nylon tents and leave them behind. People do...

Mini cooler/fridge in fermentation chamber ?

I had a cardboard box lined with Reflectix insulation that worked real well with ice packs. I could break the box down when not using it and store it under the sofa. I now have a "Cool Brewing" fermentation bag. Was a bit pricey. I think the box was better as it takes more ice to keep the same...

Ferment to dry. Then stabilize with campden and sorbate. Then backsweeten. This is as easy as it gets.

River Thames 'severely polluted with plastic'

The Cuyahoga river through Cleveland, Ohio in the states actually caught fire in 1969. Something ignited all the oil and crap in it. You are not there, yet.
