Bottling advice please

Hi all,
My first brew, Mad Millie Lager, has finished primary fermentation. I'm away for a few days so I'll leave it until the end of next week before doing anything with it.
My question is, how should I proceed with the bottling?
I'm looking to bottle but should I transfer to another FV and batch prime, if so, how long in this FV?
Or just bottle, with primed bottles, from the original FV.
For info, both FVs have bottle wands and I have syphons available.

Hi slowdave, I use both methods depending on size of brew.If you batch prime its all following on ,so transfer from primary FV onto sugar syrup, then proceed to bottle, OR priming sugar into bottles and transfer.Hope this helps and enjoy your beer.
 
I have never done a lager, and I know it requires different conditioning procedure, however that aside once fermentation is finished then I would simply siphon into a bottling bucket (bucket with a tap) and batch prime and use a bottling wand.

That sounds like a plan then.
It'll get a few more days in the FV and then I'll transfer to another FV with a priming solution and bottle.
Can't wait.........
 
I've gone full circle back to adding a half teaspoon of granulated cane sugar to each twelve ounce bottle. Full teaspoon to a 22 ounce bomber. Works just fine.

In the time it takes to measure out the sugar, attend to pan while it comes to a boil, and rack, I can have sugar in my bottles. Racking to another container is an opportunity for oxidation and infection too.
