    What did you brew today?

Once I get it set up and working I will let you know how it goes. Will probably be a few weeks before I do another brew so hopefully I'll have it set up by then.

    What did you brew today?

Yes I believe we both have the klarstein fullhorn, it's great for my needs. I do lift it up with the handles and stand it on a table to drain. However I have recently ordered a pump to ease the lifting and for safety.

    Quick question on chilling

This is the 'no chill' method which a lot of members use. Because the wort stays hotter for longer than when using a chiller you may find that more bitterness is extracted from the hops. Recipes can be altered to compensate for this, often by adding the hops later in the boil.

Welcome to the forum @Davina and congratulations on getting your first brew done athumb.. In addition to what has already been advised it is important post-fermentation to ensure as little oxygen as possible is mixed with the beer. If I understand your post correctly then you poured the beer...

    What did you brew today?

16L of my Hop Harvest pale ale. This is a re-brew of one I did a few months ago and is made with my home grown Prima Donna hops. Also the first brew I have done using my RO filter. Our water is very hard and high alkalinity so it needed 7:1 RO:tap water to get to the desired profile. Thanks to...

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

Thank you @Hazelwood Brewery for the great review and for taking the time to write such detailed feedback. Glad you enjoyed it :D The OG was 1.062 and FG 1.024 giving 5% but it has quite a bit of lactose in which probably gives the overall effect you mention. Cheers acheers.

1m to 1.5m distance from fridge to lager tap

If I understand the OP correctly then the question was whether pumping from a basement 1.5m below the bar was a problem?? If so then of course this is the set up of most pubs is it not...?

Yes, just keep them in the dark. Storing them in a cardboard box with a lid will do.

    Faulty regulator?

With a bit more patience I have had another play with the regulator tonight and it seems like it is working correctly but just with the gauge having 20 as the 0 point. So I have connected the gas and going to see what happens so at least I can get some co2 into the beer. Kudos to jonny at brew...
