    Brewzilla Issue: Preset not 'pausing'

Ah yes. This is ringing some faint bells. Thank you. It looks like I have incorrectly recalled how to programme the timer. As you were. Much appreciated. Cheers.

    Brewzilla Issue: Preset not 'pausing'

My recollection is this: Set auto mode. A single Stage is configured. All others have a time of 00:00 which means they are ignored. Let's say current water temp in the BZ is 12c Set the desired temp e.g. 72c Let's say the time now is 21:00 Set the time to 10:00 Turn on the 1900w switch...

    Brewzilla Issue: Preset not 'pausing'

I have a BZ 3.1.1 I've been using it without issue for just under 2 years. I will very often set the preset to preheat the water with a time offset of, say, 10 hours, so I set it all up the night before and by the time I get up, the strike water is up to temp. Last night, I came to do the...

What are you drinking tonight 2022?

A year or so ago, I found out that a chap at work also brews. Sadly they are always immesurably way better than anything I have ever produced. He left the company earlier in the year but we still swap the odd bottle. Here is a 5% Kolsch from July. It's very nice.

    User Upper Stout Recipe

Maybe I should ask what you mean by export. Export strength or export meaning extra hoppy to cope with the long journey to the colonies via sea? You may have missed it, but in my first post I mentioned that I don't like American / hoppy stouts. I have some Yeastie Boys Pot Kettle Black South...

    User Upper Stout Recipe

Thank you for your thoughts. I checked my other stout recipes and you're right, they have been about 8% dark malts. I will up them bit using the chocolate (rather than the roast barley which I think is likely to be more bitter?) I really don't like high bitterness brews from hops so I would...

    User Upper Stout Recipe

I haven't brewed for a while and I find myself in a position I can brew this weekend, but I only have what I have in stock. Looking to make some sort of stout - it doesn't really matter what sort, as long as it isn't the American / high bitterness ones. The malts are pretty much what I have in...

    Just for fun

Yup. Oast house, hop kiln or kell. I was quite interested but seems no one else gave a toss. Ironic given the amount of drinking going on :)

    Just for fun

I'm at a wedding in a converted barn. There are dried hops being used as decorations. So clearly something to do with the brewing process back in the day. I also note these unusual roofs/rooves. Given the horizontal flap, I guessed that the top would rotate and the vertical bit would...

What are you drinking tonight 2022?

Knowing the pub - probably cask. I like sweet beers, and I could probably only do a couple.

How many litres of home brew have you made 2022.

@Alastair70 I've been a bit late chasing this up. I think I still have one. Do you have any left and would you like to swap? Cheers

    Another Kegerator build

I don't have the flow control, but I have the Nukatap and I used a 22mm bit - see this: https://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk/threads/what-size-hole.97242/post-1100130 and https://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk/threads/what-size-hole.97242/post-1100273

    UKSkydiver's Brewdays

AG #25 - Leffe Blonde - Update I kegged this only last week and had to have a try on Monday. It's still a bit cloudy out of the keg, but I expect it to clear given time. The bottled ones are already pretty clear, but still need some time to carb and condition so I've not touched those...

    UKSkydiver's Brewdays

Not brave. It's all a mixture of risk / reward / calculated risks / training / equipment / awareness / skill It does feel quite a strange thing to think about flinging yourself out of a plane 2 miles above the earth, but no more strange than any other sport / pastime / hobby, like hitting a...
