    My brew fridge

I've just acquired a new fridge so I now have a spare. The trouble is that it's not a larder fridge, it's an old style one with an ice box. Could I still use this as a brew fridge?

Is it ok to drink after 1 week???

Definitely leave it at home - you don't want to use the Glastonbury loos any more than is essential

    Lego

I had a chest of drawers. One of the small drawers was Lego, the other Meccano. That and a couple of Action Men was my childhood :D

Educate me about non rinse cleaner please.

I'm reluctant to use much in the way of a cleaning product. I always muck out & rinse as soon as I empty a FV, DJ etc., and just sanitise/sterilise immediately before reuse.

    Spent grains

I used to get spent hops from my (then) local microbrewery to add to the compost heap. I was initially a bit skeptical, but not after I saw the brewers vegetable garden. It was fantastic. He recommended rinsing them before adding to the compost heap. The sacks they came in were great for storing...

    twisted cider

I was comparing sugar content of the various apple juices on the Sainsbury's web site earlier. Everything they sell is about 100g/litre, which using the calculator link above comes out at 5.9%

+1 for the pizza stone. They make such a difference. You'll never go back to those baking trays with the holes in again!

    Mixing Yeast strains!

I've been reusing the yeast from my TC brews, and it seems to be getting stronger if that is possible. The last batch started bubbling almost instantly and has been going like a train ever since. It was originally Young's super, but I fancy introducing some Old Rosie yeast to get the bacteria...

I want a Wood Burning Pizza/ Bread Oven in my garden

I really fancy something like a Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall style pizza oven. It would certainly beat a barbecue any day.

    Wedding Tackle

Surely it has to be Dr. Hexter's Wedding Ale (although I prefer Dr. Hexter's Healer)
