I scrapped the vent plugs and replaced with these...If you consider an empty easy keg costs up to 6 quid these are a bargain. The pils is a bit pish but the fest bier...

    And no...It was 1.5kg of LME and 1kg of DME and 300g of Wheat extract. Recipe said i should get 1044 so i was pretty close. ..

    I haven't got the room for all grain so took the plunge with extract brewing. .have really enjoyed the experience. There are online retailers that sell tins of liquid malt extract as cheaply as £5.60....The sponsors of this forum are a good place to start.....as are numerous beer recipe...

    First extract recipe

    Are you able to boil the entire Wort volume? I am aboutto embark on my first extract but only have a 15 litre pot so will be topping up to 23 litres.. . Interested because your hop weights look similar to my recipe. .good luck! :cheers:
