    Coopers Lager

Most of the kits are able to be drunk after a week... they will not be at peak conditino but they will be drinkable.. at leas a month is best longer is better that is more or less it.. my best have been at least 3 months old before drinking and have been rather fab that is for sure!!

    what sugar ???

I would recommend bottling.. absolute piece of cake.. I struggle now with getting a little too much carb going on.... ordinary sugar is perfectly fine... some (many) would argue about the two can kits which are without doubt impressive but I am getting perfectly good results with single can...

    bottling / capping

I have a 2 lever capper and it is a winner but I haven't done many batches with it so a bench capper may well be on the way when I have the space.... no doubt hat using glass bottles and crown caps is better though.. so much more satisfying when you open them up!

conversation im sure we have all had with work mates

    hello from belfast

You can't really go wrong with the coopers stuff, although to be fair even the cheaper youngs kit will wipe the floor with anything you buy from a supermarket. I am loving my coopers lager, very pleasant and bottled my cerveza last night... It tastes bloody lovely already. Don't buy bottles...

    Need advice on getting head

I wouldn't disagree with much that Steve has said except that I haven't found the little bottler to be very helpful, I find a syphon to be much simpler and faster.... plus you don't have to buy anything.. Each to their on and all that but I find that using my syphon I can charge along and do a...

Robbarwell is spot on, so easy to have a couple of beers every night because they actually taste of something. had a number of weeks where I have had just a couple here and there and all of a sudden the couple seems to have become 5 pints for 4-5 nights in a week... no good for me that....
