Hi I have been looking at the Turbo Cider things, I have other longer projects but fancy some hooch! just wondered if anyone had done similar things with Pomegranite (juice, some real fruit yum yum), is it possible to do a brew with Golden syrup? I wanna do different things!

You can brew with any fruit juice, and adding a carton of something different to turbo cider can produce tasty results. Different juices have different amounts of sugar, and you can calculate your ABV from that (you could add more sugar of course). Yes, you could use Golden Syrup in a brew, but I don't know what the taste would be like. Using brown or muscovado sugars in my ginger beer has given me some interesting flavours (imagine the taste of muscovado, but no sweetness!), as well as colour.

ive made hooch lemonade.... :D

10 lemons
1 lime,
chop and simmer in 5 pints of water for 30 mins..leave to stand for an hour,
drop all into fv, add 2.5kg sugar,
top up with treated water,
2 tsp of nutrient
2 tsp of citric acid,
gp yeast.

alcoholic lemonde for £1 per gallon.....

how did the hooch go then??

I am looking to make some orangeade and lemonade but actually stop it becoming alcoholic( I am sorry to say such things) but the missus is up t'duff so can't drink and I need to keep her happy or she will moan like buggery!!

I was thinking of following the recipe but stopping the ferment after a couple of days?
