    Wilkinsons real ale kit.

That's my opinion Beersphere others may not agree. I have seen other own brand products that are manufactured in the same way and process as premium brands and they used cheaper ingredients.:hat:

    Wilkinsons real ale kit.

It is not the same kit in my opinion the wherry is a lot maltier than the wilko kit, although I enjoyed them both

    Will I Taste the Sugar?

I have recently done a wherry that i batch primed with a total of 100g of brewing sugar, i had it in the warm for 1 week as i do most of my brew and they have all turned out fine. I always bottle in glass 500ml bottles but i use a small screw top lucozade pet bottle as a tester basically it is...

    Will I Taste the Sugar?

2 weeks in the warm should be enough for most beers, how much priming sugar are you using? :hat:

    Will I Taste the Sugar?

The priming sugar in the bottle is only a small amount so i wouldn't think so, I notice you say '2 weeks in the warm and try a bottle' i would after this period place somewhere cool 10 or 12c to clear and mature for a couple of weeks before sampling as after 2 weeks in the warm it won't be at...

    Making labels for your beer

I find colour laser printed labels work best with the old milk glue trick but i suppose inkjet would work also if you use thicker paper, does anyone use inkjet and milk? :hat:

    STC1000 Brew Fridge

Don't want to worry you Tim but the instructions on my heater said it must be mounted horizontally as may pose a fire risk mounted vertically. Good job though easy brewing from now on! :hat; P.s. Shut the door!

    Trouble capping my bottles

I think that is like buying a can of beer opening it and pouring into another container and the day after hoping it is still fizzy it won't happen as it will loose its co2. You need to batch prime and bottle or prime the bottle with sugar so the beer carbonates in the bottle. :hat:

    Festival ale hop pellets

Add them at the end of the fermentation Livewire and leave for the amount of days recommended on the instructions, that's what i did with my Golden Stag and it turned out really good after about 6 weeks conditioning. I made the Festival Razorback and had the same problem as you, the hops were...

    Making labels for your beer

Excellent job Eli that must have taken you ages. It all looks good to me very straight forward, not used gimp myself as i'm an Illustrator man, but does it let you step the labels up i.e 4 or 6 labels to a page?:hat:

    When homebrew goes wrong

If using secondhand bottles make sure you give them a really good rinse then look inside each one to check for unwanted lurgy. Had a bunch of bottles i had given what i thought was a good wash out only to do a double take 10 minutes later as a snail was sitting on the top of one of them...

    Fridge Question.

The aquarium heaters usually have to be submerged i think. I got a greenhouse heater from this guy on ebay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tubular-Heater-for-Greenhouse-Shed-etc-2ft-3ft-4ft-/160519420608?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Hearing_Cooling_Air&var=&hash=item255fb3fac0 :hat:

    New to homebrew

I always use bottled water now as i noticed that a few of my first brews had a definite homebrewed taste or tang to them, this has gone now it is something to do with the chlorine in tap water. As you are making your own beer it is all about taste so the extra effort will make an improvement...

    Brewferm 'Grand Cru' Review

It's a strong brew this one Andy so it will probably be OK, mine came out at 7.8% and it does take ages to mature so be patient. :hat:

    New to homebrew

Hi Phil welcome on board, it's a myth that homebrewing is for older people we are all 24 on here, although some of us have more experience of being 24 than others. I usually take my hydrometer reading before i pitch my yeast in, sanitise it before use then place it in the brew and give it a...
