    The Journey to BIAB starts...

    IMO, thats a great start... It leaves you room for modifications later (tap, element, etc)... I use a Voile bag the missus made me, it cost £1.50 for 1yd x 62 inches, even got a nice large hop bag from it... If the boiler can fit inside the bag, then your onto a winner... Nice size pot too...

    USING RAIN WATER

    IMO, yes... I used fresh rainwater, more than once, in Germany a few years back to make a brew when I worked there for a number of years. This was common practice for some of the locals. You will need to boil for 30 mins with the lid off and tweak the Ph with Gypsom and Epsome salts...

    Promash v beersmith v beer tools?

    I use Beersmith. Great for designing, scaling and over-all tailoring a recipe... It even keeps a Brew-Log for me... You need to input your equipment profile into Beersmith, then it does everything automatically... Well worth the money for what it does...
