    Geordie Lager

G'day folks. I'm after a bit of advice. I'm brewing a batch of Geordie lager for my folks for a competition with their local wine club. I've mainly used brewferm kits and I've just made a batch of evil dog double IPA which I think have been a success. Is there anything I can add to the Geordie...

    Bulldog, Evil Dog Double IPA

I agree, use the hydrometer. Mine was at bottling point for about 4 days before I bottled. I added the hops after about 10 days, it was bottled at 15 days. I've had a couple of tester bottles and I'm not disappointed at all. It's going to be hard to let it mature

    Bulldog, Evil Dog Double IPA

I started my Evil Dog on Friday and it's bubbling away furiously. I can't wait to get stuck into it. My first Bulldog brew, I've made a few Brewferm kits which I'm very impressed with, currently working my way through the Abdij. I did brew Coopers Heritage lager which turned out dreadfully bad...

    Brewferm Abdij

Brewed a few weeks ago, transferred after 7 days to a second fermenting bin. Bottled after another 7 days. Two weeks in the bottle and I cracked a tester open. Nice brew, will get better with age. Caramel flavours, not too dissimilar to other dark Belgian abbey beers. This is the fourth brewferm...

    Brewferm Oranje Bock

I brewed this last year and it was excellent. I've also made brewferm Christmas and Diabolo. I've got a batch of adbij fermenting at the moment and I can't wait for it to be ready. The hard part is leaving it for a few months to mature!

Too late for a Christmas brew??

Attached is a pic of the brewferm Oranje Bock I brewed about a month ago. I opened up a tester last night and was duly impressed again. A nice dark ale, will be really good in a few weeks I reckon. I've enjoyed brewing the Christmas and Bock and really enjoyed drinking some of them.

Too late for a Christmas brew??

I saw the Bulldog Christmas ale, might be another one to try. I was really impressed with my tester bottle. It's going to be hard to not drink them, thankfully it's a pain in the backside getting to them in the back if my garage!

Too late for a Christmas brew??

I started a batch if this mid August, I cracked a tester bottle open on Saturday (pic attached). I was very impressed. It's my first attempt at brewing really. I'm going to save the rest of the batch until Xmas which would give me 4 months cellar time. It's a lovely dark, warming ale. I...

    Brewferm

Hi all I've just bottled a batch of brewferm Christmas beer. I'm back into brewing after a rather long break (I'm new to the game and not an experienced brewer). I like the sound of all the brewferm kits and was wondering about others experiences and whether they are user friendly for...
