    KeyKegs UK

Hi all, I'm after a company that sells keykegs in the UK. I've contacted niche solutions but they only sell them by the pallet and currently do not need that many. Has anyone found a place in the UK that sells them? Thanks

Simple recipe to try oit azecca hops.

Azacca hops are really lovely hops, give an amazing pineapple aroma and great great stone fruit flavours. But late now judging by the date; if used to dry hop on high krausen with the right yeast you can get some really intense flavours

    Any brewers in suffolk?

Hi all, for a while now I've been brewing with friends and a few quite regularly but they never have the same passion as me unfortunately. Any one on here local to Suffolk, more specifically ipswich? I'm interested in swapping some beer or meeting up for a brew day!

    Home made keg/fermenter washer

I used an inch elbow compression that fits into my pump, from the elbow is just a length of inch pipe with holes drilled to spray all over (not too many though) I use the standard pump fitting with a length of hose and a quick disscont that hooks up to a line cleaner I made (pictured). This also...

    Plate heat exchangers

Hi all, I'm thinking about upgrading my heat exchanger. Ideally I want one that I can strip down to clean throughly, the one I have now is a solid unit. we use strippable ones them at work and I can see the benefit in them for home use as well. Problem I have is knowing what one to buy! Has...

How can i reduce hop bite?

Hi all, I like to make a light hoppy beer, hoppier the better for me. As you would expect I get hop bite in my beers, but the amount seems the vary from beer to beer. Is this due to the hops I'm using and the timings of dry hopping? I tend to use higher alpha acid hops to reduce grass notes...

    Home made keg/fermenter washer

Hi guys, Just thought I'd post this on here. Probably seen it before but I made a fermenter/keg washer! Was super simple and only cost me £42, it also had twice the power of the ones you can buy. All I got was a 300w submersible draper pump from toolstation, a 32mm P trap (only used the 90°...

Temp dropped right in the last days of fermentation

Hi people! My inkbird controller has decided to give up and right in the last day or two of my fermentation. Being in a fridge it did stay within an ok temperature range (went from 20° - 17.5°) up until the 7th day and my FG had been hit. I wanted to leave it for ten days but over this time...

    Bigger enough yeast starter?

I ended up making 2, one 48 hours prior and just keeping the yeast cake in the fridge. Made the second one as normal and on the day I warmed the cake up slowly and pitched it in with the other. I ended up with 43l, alot under my predicted. We had some very compromising issues 😣 the heat...

    Bigger enough yeast starter?

Thanks everyone again for your help! Hope you all had a nice Christmas. I used your advice made my starter and done my first brew day yesterday. I had vigorous fermentation within 4 hours of pitching and today I could here it bubbling from outside my shed 😅

    Bigger enough yeast starter?

All your advice is really helped! Knowing I can store a starter and pitch it into another one is really what I was hoping to do. Ideally i should researched what I was shooting for abit closer and got a bigger flask. Next time this is what I'll do Thanks guys and Merry Christmas!

    Bigger enough yeast starter?

I have a stir plate and one 3L beaker. Im quickly and unfortunately learning this may not be enough for 2 packs of 100ml (200ml in total (not that I needed to tell you that 😅)) in that one beaker or for at least one starter! As said before 2 starters may be needed. Is it possible to make a...
