    Brewferm Old Brown....?

Ok, it's been a fair while since I indulged in a bottle. Tried it at room temp, not good. It's sickly with a an after taste I'm not fond of. But chilled, that's a different strory, very good. It's sickly taste is now one of sweetness, with a balanced bitterness coming through. It's reasonably...

    Milestone Old Home Wrecker...?

Yeah pretty good. :) Nothing too oustanding to distinguish it from other double malt tin kits. Quite easy going, medium body, midly hopped, a regular brew but certainly palatable. :drink:

    Fermantation stuck.

I've noticed that the fermenation seems to become stuck in quite a few of my brews recently. I'm brewing from kit form. If it's double malt kit, usually ending up around 1015-1018. The cheaper single malt kits usually end up around 1010-1012. I don't bother to re hydrate the yeast, usually...

    Milestone Old Home Wrecker...?

Anyone tried this one? Just got it in the fermenter, similar to any other kits out there?

    Edme Lager...?

This one any good? I'm thinking of buying one of these. Certainly pleased with Edme's Irish Stout.

    Brewferm Old Brown....?

The Diablo was very good, I WAS pleased. :drink: :drink: As with my Gallia, it's gonna take a while for the taste to properly come through. Not tried the Abbey similair to Lefe or Chimay? Did you leave at room temp to mature?

    Brewferm Gallia....?

Thanks gentlemen, it did eventually get to 1012. I was happy with that and bottled. As the instructions say, takes a decent amount of time to mature. Probably about two months to get the best from it I reckon. :( Damn I'm thirsty!

    Milestone Lion's Pride...?

Anyone tried this one before? What does it turn out like? In the fermenter now.

    Duvell AG clone conditioning

....just use a Breferm Kit, preferably Diablo.

    Brewferm Gallia....?

Been in the fermenter over a week now. Gravity at 1020. Worried it might be stuck, it's been like that for a few days, only very minimal bubbles rising very slowly. I use closed fermenter's with regular airlocks. It's bubbling once every few minutes. :wha: Brewferm say to bottle at 1010.

    Brewferm Old Brown....?

It's certainly Brown, pretty dark, sort of Oaky and sweet smell. In the fermenter awaiting bottling.

    BlackRock Cider...?

Ok, it's probably better left just a bit longer for maturation, but I've no other supplies available! :( I'm pretty pleased with the taste so far, it's nothing super special but I'd certainly recommend it! :) I prefer it to the Finlandia cider, since it's not as sweet. More of a...

    Recommend a Lager kit...?

Quite pleased with Brupak's Colne Valley Bitter. Seems the Beer's of the World range is getting the thumbs up also.

    Recommend a Lager kit...?

Thanks for the tips, appreciated. :)

    Recommend a Lager kit...?

Forgot to mention I'd done that one also. Found the taste a little uninspiring and bland.

    Recommend a Lager kit...?

I've tried Geordie's Lager kit (can't quite remember just how good or bad it was) Brewferm's Gold, Coopers Mexican Cerveza, Coopers Australian Lager, Coopers European Lager, Morgan's Blue Mountain Lager and Morgan's Cortes Cerveza. Any other's out there that are certainly worth a go?

    Bottling beer

I drink a few pints of brew while bottling, it helps. :D I don't like bottling either. Though I fill twenty bottles with steriliser, then twenty another day. Empty and rinse on the day of bottling and fill. I'm trying to teach my dog how to use a crown corker. :wha:
