Ive just started clearing my wash and I must've hit the full 23% or at least 22. I used Still Spirits turbo 23% yeast. Used 10.5kg of brewing sugar and 20l of water. Couldn't get an og as my hydrometer doesn't go that high. Fg was just under 1, can't remember what exactly. Is my thinking correct?

Any home brew shop either local or online, even eBay/amazon etc sell them. Well worth the 2 or 3 pound, makes it so much easier when you're racking on your own.

I do the same, my heater even has an LCD display telling me the current temp which is normally correct. The beaverdale instructions do say to not let the temp drop below 20. If you've doing a 6 bottle kit i'd go the fish heater route. I find 30 bottle kits sit at around 20 in my house with just...

I've had a pear turbo cider going for a good few days now and its developed a head a good few cms thick of sludge. There's actual pear juice in the as well as 1l of juice made with 50% pulp. So am I better racking the juice into a new demijohn and leaving this behind, leave it as in or just...

I dunno if it helps but I find my local ASDA's always have white grape juice. Red I can find almost anywhere here, you could try your local and bulk buy.
