    my understanding was that you didnt need the yeast with carb drops :wha: As its a larger style it will take longer to condition. mines been out there for about 4 months now

    Steeping & Dry Hopping

    Well I dry hopped my coopers ipa with 60g of cascade for a week and completely over did it with the hops. If your going to dry hop I would recommend trying maybe 20g and then adding more the next time if you want a more hoppy flavour

    Just back from watching jimmy Carr at Milton Keynes theatre. Have to say one of the funniest stand ups I've ever seen. They even had olde specked hen behind the bar, great combination :thumb:

    O right. It's not a probe usually it's a gas phial so when the temp increases the pressure in the phial increases. As long has the phial on the outside of the fridge is insulated so that it doesn't read the outside temp it should be ok. Probably find that 4.5 in this weather is all that it will...

    Well is the stat phial in the air or screwed to the back plate. I'm just wondering if it is meant to be an air stat but someone has moved it onto the coil and making it cut of early, might just find the stat is out if scale. Can get a thermostat off of e bay

    if your brewing in the fermenting bucket the lid is probably leaking. has there been any krausen form on the top of the beer?

    Its an extremely hard decision lol :D ive seen that you can get a thermo pot off of french ebay at a really good price but it hasnt got the correct tap needed for brewing. Maybe it could be changed for the ball valve tap :wha:

    Had a look online and there is no info on it. sorry to say it may be the vacuum packing machine again mate. Do you put them straight in the freezer once packaged it would help with the contraction of the packaging

    not one hundred percent but I don't think they do. They always get sold vacuum packed. Are they dried out properly?
