When I make up my videne at 1.25ml per 1L it is almost clear as soon as I've made the mixture - can this be right? Is it effective? :?:

You can top up with cooled boiled water - because it has all the sugar and flavour in the mixture all ready.

No - I stewed the bags in a saucepan 30 mins - DJ dont like boiling water and dissolved the sugar in another then wait till cooled then you can add all to the DJ :D

Once mine finished bubbling I racked into another DJ (clean) just to get all the hooch out without disturbing the sediment and trying not to get bits of floating lemon sucked up the tube. its easier to rack first than trying to syphon straight in to bottles. You can let it rest in the 2nd DJ...

Just worked out my Lemon Hooch ABV and its comming out at 9% Think I need to sip it from now on :drink:

Hello, I made and bottled 23l of TC but would like to know the ABV. I didnt take an OG but I know the total sugar was 2553 (just apple juice no extra sugar was added) and I took a FG of 1.002 then primed with 1/2 tsp of sugar per 500ml can it be worked out? Any help would be great :thumb:

yes that sounds a good idea, ill do a taste test pre ferment, I know where your comming from - my MIL drank me outta cranberry n orange wow also, i only got a taste when i was pouring a glass for her. Need to up the quantities from 1G to 5G to get a look in :mrgreen: :thumb:
