Given it a few days. Nothing has changed. :( Should I just throw it away and start again?

Followed all the advice, and it's not changed at all. Have I lost it now? Should I just pour it away, and get a new kit and try again?

Righto, I've wrapped an old duvet around it, and really tucked it into the corner, where it should be at a good steady temperature.

Gah, so re-suspending the yeast seems to have done bugger all... I've had a look and there's no froth on the top or anything. What can I do now? Or have I lost it?

Hi all, my beer stopped fermenting, and when I checked the gravity, the calculator gave it an alcohol content of 2.9% Rob Walker (and the instructions) suggested stirring to re-suspend the yeast, I did this yesterday, and I've just had a quick peek, and nothing is happening, there's no foam on...

I'll take a photo when it's lighter tomorrow. Too scared to disturb it too much, so don't want to start dunking a ladle in it to get a sample to taste

That's basically what I was thinking, it does look nice and sturdy. And handles on it are a nice touch. I struggle getting a good grip on the bucket

I didn't bother sanitising my hydrometer, as I had no intention of pouring the sample back into the FV (chose to drink it, because, I thought it'd be interesting to see how it tastes at this point), but I sanitized the ladle which I removed it with. I will leave it until Saturday now, without...
