    Sediment Question

My first brew was a Better Brew Czech Pilsner. It was in the FV for about 2 weeks when the fermentation finished (it was brewed a little cold around 18 celsius). I then moved it to a secondary as it had a little bottler attached, but bottled straight away. I now understand that a couple of...

what is the world coming too!!!

Football in general is totally out of hand! You watch any rugby game an most, if not all, of the players totally respect the ref. It comes from all the **** they watch on tv from the professionals and really needs to be looked at.

    Better Brew Czech Pils

I tried one of my bottles the weekend just gone, had been bottle priming for a week. I got some chill haze when i moved it to the fridge overnight so would definitely say it needs to be left in a secondary FV for a couple of weeks to clear. It was also difficult to pour without passing on...

    How am I doing?

^^^^ That would be great.....if only i had a dishwasher! I tried one of my beers this weekend. After sticking it in the fridge it got quite a bit of Chill Haze, but think this is down to bottling direct from the FV without giving it much time to settle after fermentation. The beer itself...

    How am I doing?

Im thinking i might stick one of my beers in the fridge this evening so i can, purely for educational purposes, have a taste tomorrow. Its been bottled for about a week now but i intend to leave it for another week or two before moving to a cold place. Will then give it a week in the cold...

    Stuck fermentation?

I just purchased a big tub from Wilkos £7, and an ebay aquarium heater £6. Put the FV inside the tub and fill with water and plug in/install the aquarium heater. Ok the heater has to be set a couple of degrees above where you want it to work but it seems to do the job nicely.

My dog refuses to go out in the weather, literally have to kick it out the door and drag it for a walk, its such a wimp!

    Duvel Style Beer Kit

You have lost me a little here :wha: Are you saying i can buy a specific yeast from Duvel in Asda and use that to ferment instead of the one that comes in the kit?

What brewing kit do you want from Santa?

I take it a bench capper is easier to use than a hand held one? Might stick this on my list too.

Labelling your bottles (with your own labels)

I have only made one brew so far, but my plan is to buy lots of different coloured dots and stick them on the bottle, then have a little book with a sample of each coloured dot and which beer it represents  Great work on the labels though :thumb:

    Duvel Style Beer Kit

 Why thank you. I cant remember who it was on here but someone first told me that brewing beer was much like a game of chess, in that you are constantly thinking 5 moves (brews) ahead. Truer words have never been spoken! I already have a list which will probably keep me in beer...

    Duvel Style Beer Kit

Was in Belgium (Brugges) in August this year, i actually proposed to the Mrs there. Its great as it means i get to go back as often as i want and "of course dear its to re-live the moment", lol, not at all for the lovely selection of beers  Will try and make a detour to Brouwland on my...

    Duvel Style Beer Kit

I am looking for something akin to Duvel which i can use for my next brew. I guess a belgiun golden ale kit or some form would be best, but which one? Thoughts and opinions please

    How am I doing?

Out of interest should i be able to see anything happening in the bottles? They have cleared down loads, even after the first day in the bottle, but other than that not much seems to be happening... :wha:
