As I've mentioned before, I'm brewing more extract kits these days to fill the gaps between the rare all grain brew days. This is the first sample from my latest one - a Muntons Connoisseurs Pilsner, with Coopers Light LME, fermented under pressure in my fermzilla using MJ76 Bavarian Lager yeast, and dry hopped with 100g Motueka.
It's bloody great. Crisp and refreshing with a citrus aroma. There's a slight bitterness that I think will fade with some lagering time, but i quite like it, and that's all that matters!

This bottle was looking all lonely on the shelf fridge at the bar last night, so I adopted him.

Not had this beforeā¦ Perle and Mittelfruh in a blonde ale. Really nice, would be a cracking summer beer..

Now supporting another independent by drinking a West Mercia nectar. A modern pale ale delicately hopped which in retrospect would have been better drunk before the last one!
Simply pale ale coming good now, drowning my sorrows after Plymouth loss

Having a Negroni for shock (was at the opticians today and forgot how damm expensive glasses are when you have a high prescription).
This is how good kits have become, ok you have to add dme may be a dry hop, but when you brew outside they are worth doing over winter
