Looks like a slush beer
To be fair the second glass I pulled was a lot clearer so I think some sediment had settled at the base of the dip tube and once that was gone (into the first glass no doubt) it was looking a fair bit better still a tad hazy but certainly an improvement.
I’d never tasted, never mind brewed a Kolsh before. What I did manage to do was leave it lagering for nearly 2 months. It was a simple grain bill as well so perhaps you’re trying it too soon.
You could well be right Kölsch is in theory a really simple beer, with a simple grain bill, light hop additions etc. which of course means no where to hide any flaws, but time does seem to solve an awful lot of flaws (I.e. my larger I brewed last year improved immensely after six months in the bottle).
I tried to do a Czech Amber once and it came out as a pale. I’ve got better with Brewfather since then

After a brew day and providing a taxi service to three generations, a little “me” time is overdue. This is the third of the beers I was tasting yesterday. The brown ale was OK and the golden ale was actually quite nice but I didn’t get to try the third beer because I’d moved on to wine and whisky. Here’s the bitter and again it isn’t bad. At 3.8% it’s almost a low alcohol beer too
