It's rendered invisible by the questionable satin dust covers, but, in the second from last pic there's a TV on a swivel arm above an Xbox one and PS2 (I prefer the old consoles!).

The lighting, air conditioning and small but rather fancy looking electric heater are all voice/remotely controlled with smart plugs and Alexa. I've freaked the neighbours out many a time when I walk into my shed late at night and start shouting at Alexa about the lights!

I do but sadly it is always in a state of build/upgrade...continual fettling so doesnt get the use it was intended for. Determined to use it over winter as a work from home space...just need a decent way to heat it.

Heat the seat. Try it. You will spend a lot less on space heating.

I don’t want to have a common man-cave. However, I like my room with my hobby items

Alas no, not in the current house. There isn't really any room for one unless I converted my garage which is my current brew space anyway but also contains many bikes, DIY clobber, fishing gear and probably a lot of other stuff I don't really need.

'Er indoors did suggest I could build a covered BBQ area when the kids no longer want a trampoline.

I don't really understand the purpose of a man cave. Don't you guys like spending time with your wives?
There again our entire house is pretty much done up as a man cave.

Hahahaha
Do you want the honest answer?

Actually the honest answer is I do. We have games evenings with teenage mini-me, strictly nights etc, but it's awfully nice to have a purpose built office for working from home and to have a place where I can go one or two nights a week and game or brew or do metal earth models whilst listening to slipknot/tool/metal bands
But primarily having a proper office is just bliss. Working from home 20 days a month and not having a proper environment just sucks *** so much. The extra bits are just the icing on the cake.

Depends - we work from different rooms. Then, in the evening, she and my daughter like watching women’s TV on a massive screen (they have lots of subscriptions) while I prefer watching online from MacBook.

Jean Paul Satre famously said that hell is being trapped in a room with your closest friends.

I love my wife and consider her to be my dearest friend, but sometimes I just need to drink beer, play video games, smoke cigars and be an insufferable slob without being around anyone else.

Also, my missus is a rabid teetotaller, so she's not exactly as enthusiastic about the epic consumption of booze as I am 🤣

I appear to be the only person in the world that actually enjoys sharing an office with my wife.

We do have a spare room upstairs, mind where all my keyboard and music setup is.
My radios are in the shed, which I can access remotely. Along with my brewing stuff.

Desperately need a garage, or at least a car port. We have the space, but not the cash to pave it. I was absolutely shocked at the cost of digging up the garden, putting hardcore and then cement down. Even doing it myself, we're into 5 figures.

I shared my office during COVID, wife's a teacher so was doing online lessons....never ever again!
It's impossible to try concentrating on a finance spreadsheet or having a conversation with a customer about a contract, when she is blathering away about sex-ed or healthy plate to a bunch of 13 yo kids. So she got banned to the desk ( I bought just for her 😉 ) in the conservatory!

And girl child refused to share my office whilst she was at home during COVID, as apparently I swear a lot when on internal calls (and sometimes to customers) and I type very loudly when I am cross......
