Hi all,
Due to time constraints I have not managed to brew for a couple of years. Therefore I am planning to have a go at extract brewing. Which I can comfortably carry out in an evening.
I will use dme and will steep grains and boil hops on the stove top with a stock pot.
I pressure ferment and serve in 19l corny kegs, so will brew around 15 to 17 litres per batch.
Does anybody have any tips they would like to share?
How much DME do you need to replace 1kg of malt?
Cheers

Hello, I am not a really experienced brewer
Anyhow, if it can help you I can share the recipe of a very simple cascade ale I usually brew (pretty much the recipe I used for my first extract brew).

Regarding you question, as far as I know 1kg of malt can be replaced by 620g of DME

It's in lbs but it's the ratio that matters so take the figures as the same for kg but ignore the given gravity readings
