I got treated to an early Father’s Day at a Wadworth pub in the new forest. 6X and Horizon. The market is saturated with session pales but the Horizon deserves to be better known - it has a great balance between traditional and modern.

In the Sandman Hotel near Gatwick.
We're on our way to sunny Cyprus (back inland a little from the Paphos area) early in the a.m.
A proper Czech Budvar Budweiser in front of the football.
Should be a good week away, hopefully I'll find a few craft ales in a supermarket on the drive to our accommodation tomorrow. 🍻

Jealous. Never mind, we’ll be back there next month.

Moosehead lager clone. Big thank you to @YeastFace for sharing the recipe. I've no idea if the colour is accurate or not, despite drinking over a thousand bottles of moosehead. Just never poured one into a glass. Some beers are just meant to be drank from the bottle. Taste wise, it's got some hints of moose and is definitely a good baseline for tweaking. ABV is a little shy of the original. I actually stuck to the recipe this time, which is very unlike me. Will ramp up next time, both grain bill and hops. Might even pour a moosehead to see what colour it is. All said and done, I'm happy with this. Could quaff away, no worries.
