one in beerriff. Vault city staggeringly stoopid. So good that after 2 more conventional halves, I had another to help me get back home on the bike.

Finally one in the Goodrich beer garden once home and back where I started to end the evening.

Made a pedigree which I tried to save after mashing too low a temp. Added sugar at the end to give better mouthfeel and it was OK but never felt 100% with it. Determined not to waste it so mixing it with 20% London porter and its very nice. .Good enough to drink anyway 😋

I'm starting with a warm Hobgoblin Gold.
Warm because I've just nipped to Argos/Sainsbury to pick up something and got a few pks of cans for later...on arrival at the homestead and opening the boot the Hobgoblin slid out bursting 3 cans. What a disaster! So I've had to quickly get them tipped into glasses.

Didn't take pics but last night I tried my new Kiwi Pale and Saison.

Kiwi Pale was Motueka and Taiheke hopped, the Taiheke hops really overpower the Motueka unfortunately and the beer is decent but not spectacular, bit of citrus and resin and quite woody. Quite a bit like Southern Cross which was also overpowered the other hop additions.

Saison was a bit underwhelming, didn't have as much character as others i've brewed. I wonder if it's because I diluted it a bit to bring the ABV down. It's also slightly undercarbed. Still drinkable though and it's something different.
Interesting...I have Taiheke pencilled in for a Golden ale soon..what sort of hopping rate did you use and was it hotside or cold?

This was my hop schedule

Taiheke 30g @30
Taiheke 30g @15
Motueka 30g @15
Motueka 30g @flameout

Forget the IBU, the 15 min motueka addition was meant to be at 5 but i'd been on nights and got confused. 🤣

Just having a lager myself, unusually. I think we might be watching the same game, the same football channel is on all eight screens I can see here! My wife is having a passion fruit daiquiri.
