Auroras from last night at Glasgow. I subscribe to the spaceweather.com alert system and I was getting loads of pings on the drive up saying a storm was building. Went outside around midnight and waited. It was like a crack opened up in the sky just South of us.

Says it all. Beauchief - golf courses, big houses, big cars & fat wallets.
Unfortunately that says it all.
You would have thought that sort of community would be well placed to help such endeavours, but in reality it's often the not so rich that help those less well off, as one day they may need help too.
 
3300-year-old chariot bridge that is still in use today.
The Arkadiko Bridge in Greece was built between 1300 and 1190 BCE, making it one of the oldest still-used arch bridges still in existence.
Built on a road that linked Tiryns to Epidaurus, it was part of a larger military road system.
