I think you are missing the point, i was not asking what you thought about these beers compared to better ones you have drunk i was asking what members thought i would think having recently moved on from lager.

My lad said i wouldn't like the Trooper because i would find it way too strong tasting but would prefer the Abbot, he was 50% right.

You're right, I did misunderstand - apologies!

I'm surprised you like Punk most of all as it's quite a leap in flavour from lager. I can clearly remember my first bottle years ago - it was the beer that got me into beer - but it took me by surprise with just how different it was to anything I'd had before. If you like that I'd give Sierra Nevada Pale Ale a go or any of the other hoppy pales / IPAs that the supermarkets carry these days (Lagunitas IPA is lovely, Goose Island is OK and there are usually several others),

If you want a beer that takes no prisoners and is tasty to the point of
chewy, I'd go for Championship Ale (7.3%).
One of my favourities

I think my taste buds may be in a worse state than i thought, i haven't found one i don't like and was expecting to find more i didn't like than did.

Or you have a far more cultured palate than you gave yourself credit for!

(Or you just like getting pissed. I'm guessing a mix of both!!!)

We will have you culturing up your own yeasts soon and pitching them after you decanted your Guinness clone wort out of your grain father soon enough..
