We go to Bridlington many times during the year (Parents Caravan) :D It's got me wondering where my fellow brewers go for their regular days out and trips to the coast??
I'm 85 mile from Brid, takes around 1.5 hours on a good day. :D

being stuck right in the middle of the country the nearest coast to us is Skegness to the east and Weston Super Mud to the west not much to pick between the two

I suppose blackpool or northwales but my fav seaside holiday location is Northumberland so unspoilt and not many people but don't tell anyone as every fecker will want to go.

Hmmmm :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: I wonder :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:

As a kid it was always Rhyl we headed to, but now I tend to bring my kids to Barmouth or Harlech

Although I do prefer Abersoch . . . And Red Wharf Bay . . . Traeth Coch

Ya your right there Growler....Meriden nr Coventry is the middle of the UK...or so we were told when we were kids.

Mevagissey Harbour is 30' from my door, only theres two pubs before that, I don't often make it past them.

We like to head up to the East Neuk of Fife as there are some fantastic towns, villages, beaches and harbours up there. Elie, Anstruther, Crail, Kingsbarns and St Andrews are all great.

We like to go camping up near whitehaven when the maritime festival is on, (great festival weekend :thumb: ) also like towyn its good for days out or weekends, it’s a lot closer to home :D as a kid it was rhyl or Portsmouth.

Barmouth for me takes a couple of hours got many fond memories of llanbedr camping with the lads ;)
my preference would be looe i love cornwall but its a bloody long way

If you mean somewhere we go alot then mine is Mevagissey. Diving all around the coasts from there north and south shores also the St Austell beer festival in the winter.
Around 5-6 hours taking a steady roll down and possibly stopping in Cheddar for some cheese's

Pompey always as a kid, went and stayed in Poole at Easter though, lovely part of the world Dorset! Also bought a brew called "Piddle in a bottle" from the town of Piddle. My dad drank it, not sure still whether I'm glad or not about that one! :P

:thumb: I grew up in Cheddar :D they have a great little brewery http://www.cheddarales.co.uk/ with some great brews  weston was our nearest beach from there
Lucky enough to live a short drive from fantastic coastline in cornwall, devon, dorset and somerset - going to cornwall for a week at the end of the month :thumb:

I have the great pleasure of living on the wash coast. Great for the marshes. Within 15 minutes I can be on the north Norfolk coast and I can then drive the coast road. In a day out I can pass through Heacham, Hunstanton, Brancaster, Burnham Overy. Stop off at Wells and if the tide is out let the dog have a run around the sand banks in the harbour. Then on through Blakeney, Cley, Salthouse, Sherringham all the way up to Croma. Have a Crab for lunch then drive back stoping off at Dersingham to get Fish & Chips before going for a walk in Sandringham woods. Then get home in time for a cool pint of home brew as the sun starts to set. Why the Mrs wants to move up to the Wolds I just can't imagine. Must be the longing for some hill what with her being of Scottish extract.

Mudeford for me,great crab sarnies in the Haven Pub and used to have a fishing boat moored behind the boozer.
Hengistbury Head across the way from Mudeford also lovely. :hmm:
