I've done 40 AG brews since Feb 12th 2008. I have produced 734L of beer with an average ABV of 5.6% This gives me an average brew length of 18L ish. Which is a bit poofy really but my ABV makes up for it i reckon.

What's yours? :thumb:

since i've started (april last year) i've done 25 AG's (an average of one a month, but with a couple of quick fire rounds ), 24 of those were 5 gallons, and one 85L. so i've brewed 637 litres or 1121 pints. my average ABV is 5%

i think i may have brewed a few more litres than that as recently i've been getting 25 litres per brew instead of 23 on my 5 gal brewery

heh that got me thinking about my current price per pint on my new and old brewery

my old brewery cost £180 and i spent roughly £360 on ingredients so a quick average calc makes my price per pint (including the cost of equipment) at 56p per pint.

my new brewery as i've only done one brew on it so far, currently works out at £6.56 per pint

i did a projected cost per pint in Excel. and it looks like this:

Brew No. Price per pint
1 £6.56
2 £3.25
3 £2.17
4 £1.63
5 £1.30
6 £1.08
7 £0.93
8 £0.81
9 £0.72
10 £0.65
11 £0.59

but after 11 brews i'll have brewed 1760 pints! a total of 2881 pints  :drunk:

Cripes! You'll go through a lot of lemonade mixing up that lot as shandy mate.

"I'll 'av 'arf"

FIIK - no bleedin' idea mate . . .Lots is probably the best way to answer, although when I've got the femto plant set up I'm hoping to brew every two weeks

I did my first brew of 2008 on the 3rd of April and I've done 7 more. I intend getting at least one more done before x-mas so that'll be 540ltr, and an average of 60ltr or one brew day/month.
I intend to scale my brew lengths down soon so I can experiment a bit more.

I did my first brew of the year on the 1st of January which I thought was a pretty damned good effort - of which I plan to replicate this year. :thumb:

I have done 18 brews producing a total of 468 litres. Not finished yet as I hope toget at least another three done before Christmas so will easily get over 500l.

oh crap... are we talking just AG brews or kits and wine too? cos i've done 10 kits and a few gallons of wine as well as AG beers!

if your after a total for everything i've fermented then you're looking at a total of 1790 (ish) pints of beer wine and cider :D

I was just wondering about AG's BS. But your welcome to gloat. :thumb:

then gloat i shall :D... it's already added to my sig

seriously though, that's a shed load of booze! and i'm pretty sure i've drunk at least 90% of that too :drunk:

not alot though when you take an average.. 2 pints and a bit per day.

2 pints a day is very good i reckon. Especially as the 'authorities' say you shouldn't binge drink. I try to stick with this by drinking steadily on a daily basis.

i only binge at the weekends. but at home just me n the mrs, it's not really a binge at 4 or 5 pints. during the week i only have one or two a night. infact i've been known to go two or three days without a drink sometimes :?

all that's with exceptions of course, like when AT decides to take me on a walk on the wild side

It doesn't take much to twist your arm  I feel it's safer to binge drink every night so as not o shock my liver once a week with a pounding

i try not to drink in excess for too longer period as i notice i go all lethargic and my (already bad) attention span at work worsens.. not good in my job!

an all weekend bender from time to time i'll rarely turn down.. but i will give my liver & kidneys a rest and a good flush with fruit juices and water and avoid alcohol for a few days afterwards just to let my system sort itself out ;)

I reckon that'll shock your system quite badly-that fruit juice stuff. Unless it's had some yeast added and been allowed to ferment out nicely.
As for water-urgh! Nasty stuff, full of unknown chemicals and heavily processed. I'd also recommend that you NEVER AVOID alcohol for more than the time it takes you to sleep of an evening. Again, you will be putting your body through a bit of a 'shock' and although the human body is incredibly resistant it needs to be treated with a certain amount of respect. A good feed of a pint or two every day will surely keep it performing at it's optimum.
