Just a quick review of Harvest yorkshire bitter, my first one. i couldn't find a review before i made it.
This is my 2nd beer kit, previously made woodforrde wherry which is a lovely Beer.
Used 1kg brew sugar and 500g light malt extract.
OG 1051. Good krausen by next morning.
Left to Ferment 15 days.
Day 12 Gravity 1012. bit of plasticky aftertaste (if thats even a word 😃) felt a bit concerned that it would be Naff.
Day 15 same reading. Giving Abv of 5.12. So I decided to bottIe.
sampled a glass at bottling the unpleasant aftertaste had gone.
Primed with 80g of sugar and put it away to carbonate for a few weeks.
After a week i put a bottle in fridge to sample.
Conclusions
Its a Very pleasant drink slightly more bitter than Wherry.
My Gf says she prefers it to Wherry and shes asked me to chill a bottle for when she gets in from work
Which for a presseco and lager drinker is praise indeed.
I’ll report back after its had time to condition if i can prevent the Gf drinking it all.

Thanks for the review - I'm quite new to home brewing and been looking for a review for Youngs Harvest Yorkshire Bitter. Couldn't find one until now!

I’m new to this myself, Wished i’d started years ago! The bitters a nice pint. Sampled another bottle tonight, its very refreshing beer, Sharp and tangy. Just the job for guzzling in the garden in this heat. 👍🍺
