Ok so you may or may not remember me saying i had Kegged one of these kits back in jan 2011. From memory I used brewing sugar and 500g medium spraymalt.

Been tasting here and there all along the way and hadn't thought much of it. Tried it last night as I need to empty the keg to make way for my brewferm pils, and I think it's finally at the stage where it has become an ok drink.

Still seems a little thin, massive head on it that stays to the bottom of the glass, quite bitter with what to me seems like a bit of a oaky sort of aftertaste.

My friend last night described it as John smiths just not a smooth, since I have never tried that I can't comment.

I thought it may be nice to give an update for anyone thinking of doing this kit, it was my First beer kit, was fun, but I don't think I would do it again though

being honest m8 ... sounds like a fair comment by your friend especially for a cheap kit :thumb: wont be bad for a ' session ' beer
