Now look what you have done Krazypara, you have started another non brewing recipe swapping thread, the beer purists will not be happy.

What's the point of making good beer, wine, cider &/or mead if you don't also have good food to enjoy it with?

;) ;)

Actually this thread has prompted me into an idea I have had for a while, for the summer, the perfect ploughmans with everything made from scratch.

Nice All grain Hoppy Pale ale
Home made pickles (made in homemade cider vinegar)
Home Baked Sourdough Bread
Home Baked Pork Pie
Chutneys (again using homemade vinegar)
Homemade mustard
And Cheese, stilton cheddar, caerphilly Brie and a crotin would be nice.

Oh and homemade butter

Unfortunately I have has just thought that all the salad and veg would have to be homegrown as well (not a problem for some of you), not to mention the barley for the beer, wheat for the bread, the hops. The pig for the pork would have to be home reared and I suppose the milk from the cow and goat would have to be hand milked and reared as well.

Come to think of it I would probably have to go on a world tour in a hand made boat to collect all the spices which I wouldn't be able to grow over here as well.

Have I taken this idea too far.
