York police rescue dogs from 'blazing hot' car

I know this might make me sound like a **** but the reaction to these stories genuinely confuses me.

The U.K. butchers over a billion animals a year but people should be prosecuted for hurting two dogs? Pigs are often considered more intelligent than dogs but killing 10 million a year is fine compared to forgetting that your dogs might get hot in the car... I really don’t get it.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a meat eater and I love bacon. I just don’t understand how people can care so much about cruelty to one animal but not another

Simple. We dont eat dogs. We keep them as pets

To a greater or lesser extent we anthoporphise dog,s if we did that with pigs as much as we do with dogs and kept them as pets we wouldnt eat them

Also if were’t supposed to eat animals, then why are they made of meat?

So are people. Long pig, anyone?
