I know there are literally millions of strains of yeast out there and we use a large number of them when brewing.
But are there any specific strains that you just don't physically agree with?
I did a faux lager recently using a cali-common yeast from geterbrewed. It really upset my stomach after a couple of pints. No it wasn't am infection, as my friends loved the stuff and had no complaints from them!
Subsequently I did an IPA and again used the same cali-common yeast and again, after 2 pints I'm suffering the next morning.
This is the only yeast I've had a problem with 'down there', but just wondering if this is really rare, or is it common for people to have disagreeable reactions to certain yeast strains when brewing?

And no, this is not a dig at geterbrewed! In no way am I saying their yeast is suspect or in any way are they to blame. I love that company, they are absolutely fantastic!!!

My wife has been complaining about stinking farts. She reckons its the yeast I'm using, seems to coincide with drinking beer with Wyeast London Ale III. I must admit I have been blowing some juicy ones lately. But not 100% sure its the yeast.

About 3 summers ago I used Muribrew English Ale yeast in a series of brews (due to it's high temp tolerance). The flocculancy on this yeast isnt that good and because of this it gave me a stomach ache unless I put the bottles in the fridge for 12 or so hours first

I’ve not yet had a yeast disagree with me, however the last pint from a minikeg of APA using the CML pale ale yeast was very cloudy with year but I foolishly decided to drink it anyway - the toilet the next morning was not pretty!
