Hi I am very new at homebrew and I suspect I may have trashed my second batch, I have made a batch of ale which all went according to plan, now I have tried a youngs elderflower wine kit. Unfortunately I dropped the packet of yeast and lost half the contents. The other half is in the container and I have no idea exactly how much is in the brew. I looked this morning and it has started fermenting. What would be the best course of action I think there is approx 3g of yeast instead of 7g do I leave it and risk the possibility of some off flavours that they talk about on the net with too little yeast or add some more yeast, this would have about a 3 days delay from the original pitch before I could get some more. Any advice gratefully received.

Regards Tom.

If it's started it'll probably be OK, just take a day or 2 longer while the yeast colony builds itself up. It's not ideal but you should get away with it.
